How glass quality is assessed: UNI EN ISO standards

Attention: Warnings on glass characteristics
The etched/satin-finished glass has the characteristic of having a porous side, which is notoriously more difficult to clean than the smooth side of the glass. Precisely because of this porous characteristic, small halos/marks may appear, visible especially against the light and at close range.
This particularity is to be understood as a characteristic of the glass and cannot be disputed, so be aware of this peculiarity common to all acid-etched/satin-etched glass.
It is advisable to make fitters aware of the need not to touch the glass with dirty or sweaty hands. We therefore recommend wearing clean gloves during installation, which are suitable for handling glass. For customers wishing to have glass that is easier to clean, we recommend choosing glass that does not have any painted/satinised parts, e.g. milk-white laminated diffuser glass, or back-lacquered, transparent and/or smoked transparent glass.
