Rules for unloading goods in Italy and Europe
Unloading goods in ITALY
- The customer does not have to unload the goods from the truck, our carriers include the use of tail lifts, a van mechanism useful for bringing bulky goods mechanically to the roadside.
- This service is free of charge.
- Any kind of porterage on the floor and/or unloading in front of the "front door" is excluded.
Unloading goods in EUROPE
- Transport is included up to the address specified in the order, but unloading the lorry is not included in the price.
- Changes to the delivery address may be subject to surcharges to be paid before scheduling the delivery appointment with the courier.
- Depending on the size of the packages, the customer can agree directly with the corresponding carrier on the unloading from the truck, negotiating the price during the phone call between the customer and the carrier. This telephone call is also necessary to fix the appointment for delivery.
- The customer can plan to unload the goods from the truck with his own forklift truck or with his own team of professionals/workers/employees.
- If access to the area is restricted to traffic, or if it is a narrow road not accessible to large trucks, the Customer is obliged to indicate this as there may be additional costs. These additional costs shall be borne by the Customer and are not included in the price.
- If the customer has to organise unloading by hand/with his own team, he must do so with a sufficient number of people to ensure that the vehicle is not parked for more than half an hour in the same place.
- The customer must allow the Driver/Transporter to leave the parked vehicle without blocking the road and the traffic of other vehicles.
- Of course, the price excludes any porterage on the floor.
